The box came in properly wrapped and with minimal shipping damage. After checking if it would fit into my small trunk how I expected, I went to put in my sundown UV2 12 inch sub in the box just to find out the sub didn’t fit. Same case with the last box I had which was a pre fab, I had to sand down the hole in order for the sub to sit flush. I had to sand it down until I could see the wood that was under the paint which leads me to believe too thick of a layer was used around the hole for the UV2 sub at least. Other than that box is beautiful in my trunk and sounds clean but if you plan on running a larger style 12 in sub be prepared for some extra work to be done
Hello, thanks for your review. We wish you had reached out to us prior to purchase as we would have recommended the approrprate enclosure for your subwoofer and also let you know a custom cutout would be necessary. The 2.25 is not the right enclosure for your UV2 subwoofer, the 1.75 or 2.0 with a custom cutout are the recommended enclosures. Our enclosures are stained, not painted.
